Probably the most challenging of all marketing initiatives for medical spas is the cost of patient acquisition. By factoring in the cost of marketing, personnel to answer phones, etc., the cost per patient is typically around $45-65 each. More in larger markets.
Our Colloredo marketing team takes pride in being able to help our clients build their business through clever and innovative programs. However, we also recognize the challenges of marketing expenses and keeping the cost down is paramount.
So, there are two areas that are helpful to keep the cost down per dollar earned:
1. Client Retention Programs
2. Word-of-Mouth Ambassador Programs
The cost of retention and word of mouth is ALWAYS less than external marketing for cost of treatment. For Atlanta Face & Body, we like to congratulate our patients for a job well done for referring friends and family. Typically, we will have in person events for these VIP patients. Since COVID, we have decided to send packets that let them know how they have contributed to the success of the practice as well as a thank you gift.
These wonderful reminders of the value of the patient to the practice are also reminders of setting appointment for next treatment.
As a firm recommendation, it’s always good to not forget your current patients and always encourage them to invite friends and family.
